ATTENTION: ALL WATER/WASTEWATER UTILITY SYSTEMS
REVISED UPDATE as of MARCH 26, 2020

During these times dealing with COVID-19 virus, the importance of providing continuous safe water and wastewater service to all customers is of the utmost importance.

The importance of doing preventive maintenance on all parts of their water and wastewater system, maintaining a good inventory of key spare parts, especially chlorine equipment spare parts, control valve spare parts, key electrical components, etc.

Water and wastewater operations should always be considered “Essential Services” for your communities health and welfare, especially during a “National Emergency”.

Let’s all make sure to backup equipment, spare parts, and backup help in case you were to become affected by a health issue.

Remember let’s all be safe but keep your water systems operating with proper disinfection levels and uninterrupted service to all your customers.

During this National Emergency of the COVID-19 Pandemic I strongly encourage all water and wastewater utilities to NOT disconnect any customers for non-payment. Due to the critical need to follow the Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations for everyone to practice during the COVID-19 Pandemic. CDC states that sanitizing by thoroughly washing your hands often to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 disease. Hopefully the government will provide some type of funding to offset any loss of revenue during this pandemic from Non-Payment. With that said there is NO guarantee that this will happen but health and safety should always come first in all our communities.

Thanks to each one of you for providing the excellent water and wastewater services for your communities.

If you need assistance, please remember to reach out to ARWA @ 501-676-2255!
