Qualifications:
Possess a Valid Driver’s License
High School Diploma or Equivalent
The candidate will play a crucial rote in overseeing the management and operations of our Cities Water and Wastewater System.
You will lead and or train our department and personnel to ensure the sustainable use of water, safeguard water quality, and implement strategies to address water-related challenges while also managing our wastewater treatment and collection system. lt is a must to possess strong leadership skills and understand the management practices for water and wastewater utility. Hold a current Class III Water Treatment License Hold a current Wastewater Treatment Grade I License
Three Years Experience in Water and Wastewater Operations and be able to acquire a Grade II Wastewater License within 18 Months from the hire date.
Responsibilities:
Must accept “On-Call”duties nights, weekends and/or holidays.
Ensure all utility equipment is in good operating condition.
Assist with any emergency, which may occur on or off duty pertaining to equipment or personnel.
Knowledge of all Health Department and EPA guidelines and regulations.
Perform Laboratory Analysis and or collect samples for both water and wastewater, prepare the Monthly NPDES Reports, and prepare the monthly reports for the Arkansas Department of Health, to meet all State and Federal guidelines.
Basic knowledge of electrical circuits / Monitor Scada controls and process control equipment and diagnose process control equipment issues.
Perform daily plant rounds to make any adjustments to equipment to keep in compliance with state and federal requirements.
Individuals will perform a variety of skilled responsibilities in the operation and maintenance of a water treatment and a sewer treatment facility, including lab testing and data collection reporting.
Supervising maintenance, construction, and repair, including but not limited to piping, pumps, mixers, tanks, filters, electrical generators, sludge removal and disposal of water and wastewater treatment facility components.
Will be required to handle hazardous chemicals in both treatment facilities.
