The Water/Wastewater Superintendent shall oversee the daily operation and maintenance of water distribution, as well as wastewater, treatment, and disposal processes. Reviews, monitors, and develops procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal rules and
regulatory practices; participates in reviewing and planning the city’s infrastructure development; supervises department staff, including assigning and reviewing work, completing performance reviews, instructing employees, and executing personnel actions; ensures employees receive appropriate certification and safety training; develops cost projections for budget status; provides technical assistance in water/wastewater projects; and participates in departmental activities with engineers, consultants, developers, and citizens. Responsibilities
include implementation, preparation, review, and approval of work orders, purchase orders, plans, drawings, and various regulatory records and reports. Performs related work as directed.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a Class D4 and WW2 License or be able to obtain same
- Three to Five years of progressive experience in a water or wastewater system with
some leadership experience, is preferred.
