The Benton Washington Regional Public Water Authority is currently accepting resumes for the position of Water Treatment Plant Operator. This involves technical work in operating a water treatment plant and water transmission system providing potable water to approximately 120,000 customers in NW Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma.
MUST BE WILLING AND ABLE TO WORK DAYS, EVENINGS, NIGHTS, WEEKENDS, AND SOME HOLIDAYS.
Shifts are 10 hours – 4 days per week. Minimum requirements are to be at least age 18, have a HS Diploma or GED, be able to swim, and have a valid Driver’s License. Applicants with current Arkansas Dept of Health Water Treatment License and Water Distribution Licenses will be given preference; however training for licensing will also be provided for the right applicant. Basic working knowledge of biology, chemistry, and mathematics is required for the position.
Starting pay is dependent on qualifications and ranges from $12.00 – $18.44 per hour (potentially more with license and experience) and most benefits begin 30 days after hire.
